What is a Sleep Study?
Sleep Studies (polysomnographic studies) are a series of tests that monitor and record what happens to your body during sleep. A sleep study can record a variety of information, including the brain's electrical activity, muscle activity, heart rate and breathing. It can be used to diagnose or rule out a potential sleep disorder. The studies are painless and are typically done in a sleep lab. Although not as accurate as a Sleep Study performed in a sleep lab, we do offer Screening Home Sleep Studies that will indicate whether a complete study should be performed. |
